The Cybermedia Center, Osaka University has a responsibility of providing high performance computing environment with researchers and scientists in Japan. For the purpose, we have been studying the information technologies useful for scientists’ and researchers’ promoting researches using our supercomputing systems. The Joint Research Laboratory for Integrated Infrastructure of High performance Computing and Data Analysis(*) established in the Cybermedia Center, in particular, focuses on (1) High-performance computing technology and data analysis integrated computing technology that allows us to make maximum use of the hardware performance, (2) High-performance computer system infrastructure technology that can accommodate a wide variety of computing needs , and, (3) Data aggregation and technology management that make high-performance computers easier to use.
We are recruiting an academic staff member who is able to promote the research on
technologies, which allow users to benefit from OCTOPUS and SQUID, large-scale computer systems, and ONION, the data aggregation infrastructure in the Cybermedeia Center from both perspectives of users and administrators, in a flexible thinking way
