This paper conducted a basic performance analysis of mdx II, a cloud platform installed at the D3 Center aiming to encourage industry-academia-government collaborations at Japanese universities and research institutions. It analyzed the performance of VMs deployed on mdx II from multiple perspectives and identified challenges on the infrastructure side for future performance improvements.
