Cyber HPC Symposium 2026

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Cyber HPC Symposium 2026 was held at our center. The symposium was organized by the D3 Center, The University of Osaka, and co-sponsored by the Joint Usage / Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN) and the Data Utilization Society Platform Collaborative Business Entity. The event took place at the Cyber Media Commons on the 1st floor of the D3 Center Main Building (Suita Campus), The University of Osaka. At this symposium, users, developers, and operators of high-performance computing systems from industry, academia, and government gathered to actively discuss the necessity and importance of supercomputing systems that contribute to the advancement of Japan, in light of use cases for supercomputing systems and the latest research and development trends.

From our division, Professor Susumu Date delivered a talk entitled “Current Status and Challenges of D3 Center’s Compute and Data Infrastructure for Supporting AI for Science.” In addition, Associate Professor Keichi Takahashi served as chairperson of the panel discussion, and Specially-Appointed Associate Professor Kota Sakakura participated as a panelist. Furthermore, Specially-Appointed Assistant Professor Tomonori Hayami served as the general moderator.
