A must-go mini zoo near Kaiyukan aquarium

Do you know “Tenpouzan Animal Park”? Well, I didn’t know. Last week, on the way home from the “Secret Witches Exhibition” held in Tenpozan, I stopped by at a shopping center called “Tenpouzan Market Place” unintentionally.

Near the entrance of this building, there was a mini indoor zoo, where you could play around with cute dogs or cats. To be honest, I didn’t expect much from it. However, it was a far more exciting place than I initially thought.

Just after the entrance, there where common pet animals such as dogs, cats and hamsters. All of them without collars or cages, and your are free to touch them or stroke them.

And pigs!

There room in the back is the most interesting part, though.

This room is literally filled of slightly unique animals like capybaras, wallabies and alpacas. By the way I love capybaras, so I was desperately seeking for a place I could watch and touch real capybaras. I couldn’t find any near my house or university — not until now!

Even if you don’t like capybaras, this kind of room is rare — where capybaras, wallabies and alpacas gather and fight each other in a single room, owls flying over your head, chameleons and turtles chilling, zoo keepers cleaning the animals’ excrements and tourists taking pictures. What a chaotic place!

I strongly recommend you to stop by at the Tenpouzan Animal Park when you visit Kaiyukan or some other places in the Tenpouzan area.
