On 9th August, our school of engineering had an open day. Our lab introduced the research topics we are currently working on using posters. Many people were interested in AI😃. We appreciate all the people who came to our exhibit; including high school students, their parents and undergraduates.

wrap-up party for B4
On Aug.8 a wrap-up party was held as after-exam(for master course). Everyone, from the Shimojo-sensei downward, had a lot of fun at the party. Well done!

A pep rally for entrance examination
Today, we had a pep rally for entrance examination for B4. We ate “ROCKEY SALMON”,or smoked salmon. The origin of the name is the shape associated with the Rocket Mountains. I’d clean forgotten to take a picture before eating… 🙁 Good luck on their entrance examination of a graduate school.
BBQ Party
We held a BBQ party. That day unfortunately looked like it was going to rain 🙁 So, we spent indoors. Weather permitting, I’d love to held BBQ party again!

Shimojo Lab. introduction for B4 students and welcome party
Misawa san introduces Shimojo Lab. activities to B4 students. In the evening, we held welcome party for new b4. The following six undergraduate students were assigned. ・Yusuke Nakaji ・Tomoe Nishimura ・Yuya Himeno ・Shinnosuke Miura ・Kazuki Miyagoshi ・Satoshi Yamanaka Further, we celebrated Prof.Shimojo’s 60th birthday.

SC17 were held in Denver,USA. CMC, Cyber Mediacenter booth was lively. So, we made many guests listen to our description about research, service and more. appearance: On the public release day, many families enjoyed our booth. We are also planning to exhibit at SC18 scheduled for next year in Dallas, USA. https://sc18.supercomputing.org
